This Senior UX Researcher role will play a pivotal role in understanding our users' needs and behaviors. You will lead research initiatives to inform product design and strategy, ensuring that our products are user-centered and meet the highest standards of usability and accessibility. Your insights will drive decision-making and contribute to the overall success of our products.


This role is remote first but you may be required to come into office on occasion as necessary for events or workshops (will not be frequent).



CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


By partnering with cross-functional teams and customers, you will translate insights into delightful products in a creative environment that requires proven leadership skills. The role will require you to:


AIENAI (Parent company)

  • Develop, design, and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including, but not limited to usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and ethnographic field studies.

  • Analyse and interpret research data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for product enhancements.

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to incorporate user research into the product development process, translating insights into actionable tasks and deliverables.

  • Facilitate the integration of user-centred design principles into product strategy and development, championing the needs and perspectives of users throughout the organisation.

  • Develop and refine research methodologies, processes, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality research outcomes.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

  • Lead collaborative efforts with external stakeholders where necessary to foster and maintain business relationships and ensure successful contract execution.

  • Present research findings and insights to stakeholders within and outside the organisation, utilising compelling storytelling and data visualisation techniques.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on user experience and research-related matters.

  • Maintain thorough documentation of research processes, methodologies, and findings.

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design and project management.

  • You may be required to undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the company's goals and objectives.


AIENAI Academy

  • Develop and refine research-focused curriculum for UX Coaching and Mentorship Programs, while ensuring the curriculum aligns with industry standards and practical applications.

  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for Academy students, providing hands-on experience with research methodologies and tools. 

  • Provide one-on-one mentorship and coaching to Academy students in the UX Research domain. 

  • Develop and maintain a repository of research resources, including case studies, templates, and toolkits, to support Academy students in their learning and professional growth.

  • Provide constructive feedback to students and the Academy team to continually improve educational offerings.

  • Encourage networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration among students and professionals.

  • Represent the Academy and the company in industry events, webinars, and conferences when required.


External Stakeholders

  • Ensure that final designs align with stakeholders’ brand identity and objectives.

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback on design projects.



JOB REQUIREMENTS


Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey research findings to diverse audiences

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members

  • A passion for writing, with a demonstrated ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content

  • Familiarity with relevant writing and collaboration tools such as Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Miro, Figma, Notion, etc

  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices in product design, ensuring the creation of beautifully seamless user experiences

  • A flair for creative thinking and problem-solving, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a simple and user-friendly manner

  • Meticulous proofreading and editing skills to ensure error-free content.

  • Strong understanding of UX principles, UX design, and research methodologies

Education/Experience Requirements

  • BSc degree in English, Communication, or a related field

  • A portfolio of research, writing, or design samples or any related projects that demonstrate your writing skills and ability to craft user-focused content

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in user research, with a proven track record of leading research initiatives for digital products
